Sole Motive
Sole Motive was founded in 1980. Today, it’s the host of several major running events in Australian, the manager of two retail stores, and the publisher of the award-winning Runner’s World magazine. The organisation has helped runners raise over AUD$10 million for charities and continues to champion the benefits of running.

“The medals are high quality. That’s really the best way to put it. They’re well-made, durable, and the designs are outstanding.”

Why Badges And Medals?
Matt O’Halloran, sponsorship and partnership specialist at Sole Motive, said the organisation decided to leave their previous supplier after it became “too complacent, and dropped the ball”.
“One of the biggest issues was that we even had a shipment that didn’t arrive on time. It was a complete nightmare,” O’Halloran said.
“It made me realise that I needed a supplier I could trust, one that wouldn’t add unnecessary stress to an already demanding event schedule.
“The design was another issue. Our old medals just weren’t up to scratch. They didn’t reflect the quality or the unique feel of our events.”

‘High quality’ awards
O’Halloran said it was Badges And Medals’ design capabilities that first caught his eye.
“The medals are high quality. That’s really the best way to put it. They’re well-made, durable, and the designs are outstanding.
“Once I had the medals in my hands, I knew I was making the right choice.
“And while cost wasn’t my main driver, I did find that Badges and Medals were slightly cheaper, which was a bonus.”
Never ‘in the dark’
“The biggest problem Badges And Medals have solved is timing. I don’t have to worry about whether my medals will arrive on time anymore.
“They keep me updated along the way, so I never feel like I’m left in the dark.
“Plus, the team listens to feedback, makes changes when needed, and are always open to collaboration.”
