About Us
Some of our team from the headquarters office.
Badges And Medals is a family business founded in the 70s, out of a love for good craftmanship. We spent a short time as a jewellery shop in small-town New Zealand before our focus sharped in on custom awards.
By the time Hamish Larsen and his father, Arnie, took over from Australia in 2016, they saw that the awards industry had not kept pace with people’s needs. Manufacturing awards often took too long and hurt the environment. Complicated ordering processes also meant people didn’t know what they could design, resulting in plain and similar-looking awards.
Badges And Medals’ vision became clear: to challenge the status quo. People needed their custom awards to be faster, easier, and more affordable, with better designs and less impact on the planet. Determined to set a new standard, we began revolutionising the way awards were designed and made.
Our large network of suppliers and dedicated logistics team ensure that we can deliver orders of any size to anywhere in the world, on time. Each year, more than 5000 organisations worldwide choose us for our quick and easy ordering process. Could you be next?

Their staff were brilliant from start to finish. The medals and ribbons are done to the highest quality and I can’t wait to present them to our participants! The design process was straight forward, they accommodated any requests and they were delivered within a month. 10/10!Cade GriceI am incredibly impressed with our order. The quality is outstanding..thank you so much! We compete at many fire brigade challenges and haven’t quite come across many for trade offs to build our collection. An old school tradition that we would like to see regenerated. Looking at the “likes” to your Facebook post, it would be neat to have other brigades follow up and place their orders.. they won’t regret it. Hit the Blenheim Bandits up for trade offs at events we’re involved in… Thanks Badges and Medals!Carol PetrieThanks so much Amanda and team for the amazing service with the new medals for our club competition. After sending through my initial design, the team took it further, and offered up solutions for the medal type and lanyards, until we were happy! The level of finish of the medals themselves is SO GREAT. We cannot wait for our competition, to be able to give them all out! Will update this with photos afterwards :) Thank you again! A++++ and can't wait to do business again with you!Stu McLaughlinThe process of working with Badges and Medals has been seamless, from the initial design process where they were responsive to feedback and went out of their way to provide us with samples of the design prior to committing to ordering. The presentation of the samples was impeccable and made our decision to work with Badges and Medals easy. Their engagement on social media reflects their strong engagement with their customers also. Additional to this their frequent trips to WA allowing face-to-face communication, have been greatly beneficial to the relationship that we have been able to establish with Badges and Medals across the last season.Kristy ToogoodI love my medal from the GORRF! It featured intricate, high-quality artwork that highlighted the dramatic coastal landscapes. Beyond the gorgeous aesthetics, the medals themselves are exceptionally crafted. Badges and Medals have a dedication to excellence, combined with a keen eye for design, making them the clear choice for any running event.Shani RowlandBadges and Medals did an awesome job with our 10, 15, and 20-year service coins. We told them what we wanted, and they nailed it. The coins look amazing, and everyone loves them. Totally recommend these guys!Google rating score: 5.0 of 5, based on 18 reviews
